Forbidden Love
Cold as death she sits alone
A fallen angel still as stone.
People point and stop to stare
About her no one seems to care.
As years pass she stays the same
And taunting her became a game.
Then the blows and kicks rain down,
In their hatred she starts to drown.
Bruises spread like spilled ink
Still she doesnt even blink.
Time has numbed her, dulled the pain
They wonder if shes gone insane.
Suddenly time seems to freeze
She feels a warm, gentle breeze.
The people part to make way
None of them know what to say.
A young man with raven hair
Doesnt seem to see them there.
He walks with a certain grace
That belies his angry face.
Why does she deserve such hate?
they reply, It is her fate.
And as his eyes rest on her
His face becomes kind and pure.
His warm hand cups her icy cheek,
She asks him What do you seek?
Then he replies, I dont, Ive found
As he lifts her from the ground.
Suddenly shes no longer cold
Her bitter heart turns into gold.
Though their love had been banned,
Ice and fire walked hand in hand.
